You might be asking yourself “what is a super food?” A super food is a food that provides specific nutrients that may enhance your health with every serving. Compared to processed foods, super foods contain a relatively high amount of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. Super foods are also naturally lower in fat, sugars, sodium and calories. For food to be considered a super food it must contain all the nutrients listed above naturally. Many times foods are fortified or enriched with vitamins and minerals and marked as “nutritious” food.
